Phishies

Crowds often point to the human variant; a large group of people. After extensive research into the possibilities for using this interpretation, we came upon the usage of the word crowd for describing groups of animals. Most of the time, more specific words are used (shoal, herd, flock, etc.). The interpretation of a crowd in this project is: a group of at least that amount of individuals that permits group behaviour to be observed. The project consists of three blocks, each a window on a different version of reality. The undistorted view of a fish tank, a simulation of a school of fish and a representation of the fish in the tank, abstracted to be similar in appearance to the simulation. All this with the goal of letting the viewer decide: what is simulation and what is reality?

I’m aiming at making this boids simulation by some brilliant guy to make it behave more like a tank of fish. Here’s what I got so far: phishies20070819.

Note: It seems sometimes it crashes, but at least you can get the idea. I’ll be fixing it after DECOI probably.
